What to Expect During Your First Visit
We’re excited to welcome you to our Rockledge, FL dental practice! Here’s what you can expect during your first visit with us:
- Patient Forms: When you arrive, you’ll fill out some forms about your medical history, any current medications, allergies, and dental concerns. If you have insurance, we’ll also ask for that information to help us process claims smoothly.
- X-Rays: If needed, we may take digital X-rays to get a clear view of your teeth, gums, and bones. These help us spot any hidden issues like cavities, bone loss, or early signs of gum disease. Rest assured, we follow all safety guidelines to keep your X-ray exposure minimal.
- Comprehensive Exam: Your initial dental exam will take about 60 minutes. During this time, we’ll ask about your oral hygiene routine, listen to any health concerns, and work to understand your unique needs. Dr. Prill will complete a thorough examination of your mouth, teeth, and gums, checking for cavities, signs of gum disease, oral cancer, and other conditions. We believe in educating you about your oral health, so we’ll offer personalized advice and tips to improve your smile. Sometimes, simple changes in diet or daily habits can make a significant difference in your oral health.
- Teeth Cleaning: One of our experienced hygienists will clean your teeth, removing plaque and tartar buildup. You’ll get a professional flossing session, and we’ll show you the best techniques to keep your teeth feeling fresh and healthy.
- Treatment Discussion: After your exam and cleaning, Dr. Prill will discuss any treatment options and preventive care that may benefit you. This might include recommendations for restorative dentistry, if needed. If you’re new to Florida, we’ll also talk about how the sunny climate and higher fluoride levels in the water can impact your oral health.
- Ask Questions: This is your time to ask any questions about your oral health. Whether it’s about teeth whitening, the best way to protect your smile from the Florida sun, or any concerns you might have, we’re here to help!
- Your Personalized Treatment Plan: If any treatment is needed, Dr. Prill will provide a customized plan tailored to you. We’ll schedule any follow-up appointments and help you set goals to keep your smile bright and healthy for years to come.
Pain Concerns
We work to ensure our patients feel comfortable, and that includes minimizing your pain as much as possible. If you are undergoing a dental procedure, Dr. Prill will meet with you to discuss your pain tolerance and create a plan for pain management. The team at Signature Smile Family Dentistry is committed to providing excellent dental care in a comfortable environment where patients can relax and feel at ease.
Specials and Financing
We understand that not everyone has dental insurance, and some procedures, such as replacing missing teeth with implant dentistry, may not be covered. That’s why we offer ongoing specials, including:
Our annual Signature Plan, which includes two sets of X-rays, two dental exams (including a $30 copay), two cleanings, and two fluoride/FYGG treatments (if applicable) for only $400. We also offer convenient financing through CareCredit®, and if you have dental insurance, we will explain our billing process to you at the time of your appointment. We accept most major dental insurance plans, cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
Any additional services will be discounted 15%, and the plan begins the date of purchase for a plan year. All services must be completed within that time frame, and any services not completed are forfeited and not eligible for refund or credit. This savings plan cannot be combined with use of CareCredit® or dental insurance, and cannot be transferred or substituted.
We also offer a new patient special for only $109 that includes any necessary x-rays, complete dental examination, oral cancer screening, tobacco counseling, and oral hygiene demonstration.
We also accept most major dental insurance plans and will be happy to explain our insurance billing process to you. Please let the front desk team if your insurance plan has changed since your last visit, and please call us if you’re not sure if we’re in network with your dental insurance plan provider.
